SURLINGHAM 56 CASEMENT WINDOW
A casement window (top hung, side hung, or fully reversible sash) designed with a 56mm wide casement frame to accommodate a 24mm double glazed unit.
The Surlingham 56 is a high performance window which can be cleaned from the inside when using a fully reversible hinge or friction hinge.
Butts hinges are also available. Friction hinges can include a restrictor (approx. 100mm opening), within the friction hinge.
A 68mm casement frame is also available which can accommodate a 36mm unit. Single glazing is available on request.

SPROWSTON EMERGENCY EXIT WINDOWS
Sprowston Range Windows
A range of windows designed to comply with regulations with regard to fire escapes or smoke vents.
Windows are designed on the same lines as a traditional sliding sash, with the top sash in front of the bottom sash. Opening mechanisms can be controlled and linked to a fire alarm system to open automatically in an emergency to help vent smoke from the building. The unit can be controlled by using either magnetic or mains with battery back up systems.
Sprowston Range Sash Style Windows are available in three arrangements:
Mock Sliding Sash:
A window designed on the same lines as a traditional sliding sash, with top sash in front of the bottom sash. Where the standard Sandringham sliding sash, Surlingham casement, or Sprowston sliding exit windows sizes are too small or when 1/3 over 2/3rd opening sash does not allow the correct egress area, the Sprowston mock sliding exit window may help. The top sash is top hung and opens outwards, and the bottom sash is side hung to open inwards: with both elements in the full open position, emergency egress is clear and unobstructed.
Sliding Exit Window:
A window designed on the same lines as a traditional sliding sash, with top sash in front of the bottom sash. Where the standard Sandringham sliding sash or Surlingham casement windows sizes are too small or when 1/3 over 2/3rd opening sash does not allow the correct egress area the Sprowston range may help. The Sprowston Exit window has a top sash that moves in the conventional way by either cords & weights or spiral balances. The bottom sash is hung on butt hinges and when open will give the correct egress area.
Smoke Vent Window:
A window designed on the same lines as a traditional sliding sash, with top sash in front of the bottom sash. They open outwards to allow the passage of smoke.
